Alert: MN House of Reps hearing to stop wolf hunting March 27

Some urgent, good news: Today the Environment and Natural Resources Policy Committee of the Minnesota House of Representatives scheduled a hearing on a bill, House File 1327, that stops wolf hunting in Minnesota forever.

While testimony time is limited, we invite you to attend the hearing on Wednesday, March 27 at 9:45 AM in Room 200 of the Minnesota State Office Building in St. Paul. Through your presence in the audience, we can show great statewide support for the wolf which will influence lawmakers to push this bill forward this session.

With the U.S. Department of Interior’s proposal to remove Endangered Species Act protections for all wolves in the United States, states could implement hunting and trapping seasons immediately. This is our chance to remove the hunt from Minnesota state law.

If you know you’re attending, please RSVP through this weblink and we will follow up. However, RSVP is not required.

Whether you are attending or not, the wolf needs you to send a message to Governor Walz and to your state House and Senate member. They can be persuaded! Please go to the Howling For Wolves TAKE ACTION website to send an email to Gov. Walz and your specific legislators. We have prepared a customizable message. We strongly encourage you to add your own personal thoughts.

Lawmakers need your push to stop wolf hunting in Minnesota.

Together we can protect the wolf!
